At Empower.ed, we are dedicated to supporting rangatahi (youth) as they navigate the challenges of eating disorders and mental health. Our goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where young people can access the tools and guidance they need to understand and manage their wellbeing.
By focusing on early intervention and community-based support, we aim to reduce the increasing rates of eating disorder diagnoses, while empowering our rangitahi to take charge of their recovery journey. We believe that everyone’s story is unique, and no one should feel alone. With a focus on holistic, culturally responsive care, our platform is designed by lived experience for lived experience. We are committed to providing resources that promote understanding and resilience—helping young people feel seen, heard, and empowered.
We're planning a lived experience campaign in 2025.
If you have lived experience and want to share your voice, we would love to hear from you. By visualising the diversity of this issue, you can help others feel less alone. We can offer hope that recovery is possible.
